Meet Angel Dean
Founder of Angel's Educational Advocacy
Angel Dean is the founder and driving force behind Angel’s Educational Advocacy. As a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to children with special needs, Angel understands firsthand the emotional and bureaucratic challenges families face when seeking the right services and accommodations for their children. Her journey began in 2005, inspired by her own family’s experiences navigating the special education system. Since then, she has become a dedicated Special Education Advocate, proudly serving both English- and Spanish-speaking families.
With a background as a retired special education teacher, program coordinator, and legal professional, Angel brings a unique and powerful combination of experience to her advocacy work. She has a deep understanding of the laws that protect children with disabilities and uses that knowledge to guide families through the complex landscape of special education. When needed, she attends school meetings to advocate in person and help ensure that your child receives the support they deserve. And if legal counsel becomes necessary, Angel can refer you to trusted special education attorneys.
At Angel’s Educational Advocacy, our mission is to help students in Prince William County and surrounding areas access a free, appropriate public education (FAPE) in the least restrictive environment. We believe every child has potential and deserves the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
But our work goes beyond supporting students — we also empower parents. We help you understand your rights, track your child’s progress, and confidently advocate for your child’s future. Because real success happens when schools and families work together.
We look forward to partnering with you and being part of your success story!
